Welcome to All Saints' and St Richard's Church of England Primary School's website.
Whether you are a pupil, parent or visitor we hope that you enjoy looking at our website and will be able to find the information you require.
All Saints’ and St Richard’s is a Church of England Voluntary Aided Primary School for children aged 4+ to 11. There are 123 children on roll. The school is in the village of Old Heathfield, approximately 1 mile east of the market town of Heathfield, East Sussex.
The school is situated in the heart of the High Weald, an area of outstanding natural beauty. We have magnificent views of the surrounding countryside, including the South Downs and, in the distance, the English Channel.
The school was founded in 1863 by Earl de la Warr and the vicar and church wardens of the Parish of Heathfield. The original Victorian building can be seen from School Hill. An extension to the school was built in the early 1970s to provide new classrooms in response to a growing demand for places. In 1997 further extensive works were carried out to enlarge and modernise the school.
We have 5 classrooms, a multi-purpose hall, a library and a kitchen. There is a large playground, some garden areas, and a playing field with adventure play equipment.
