OFSTED Impressed
We are celebrating a most positive visit from Ofsted which has recognised the very good teaching here.
Mrs Audrey Farrow, headteacher, said “we are all delighted with the report from this inspection. We work very much as a team and are now looking forward to building an action plan to move us on to the next exciting phase of our development.”
A number of areas in the curriculum were assessed as very good including information and communication technology with inspectors being impressed with the very good progress of pupils across the school through excellent leadership and the comprehensive, effective use of the resources available.
The inspection report particularly praised the pupils achievements in their personal and social education and recognised their increasing maturity and independence as a true indicator of this.
The former Chair of Governors, Mrs Nichola Winstanley whose 11-year-old daughter has been at the school for six years, said, “for the children in Bidwell Brook School the encouragement and support from all the staff is vital as they acquire the life-skills to realise their potential. The Ofsted report reflects this achievement in a very good light.”
“Everyone connected to Bidwell Brook School has worked hard to ensure the Ofsted inspectors gathered a true reflection of what are our day to day standards. The report has certainly captured that,” concluded Ms Farrow.
