Road Safety
There are still a number of cars parking on the double yellow lines and blocking driveways in Osborne Close and Freshwater Avenue. Please help us to keep all of the children safe by parking as far away from the school as possible. If you do have to drive into Osborne Close please take extreme care. Children don’t always remember road safety rules when they see a friend or parent on the other side of the road.
Children who are late for School
The number of children arriving at school late is increasing. I cannot stress enough the importance of all children arriving on time. If your child is late they will miss the start of a lesson and find it very hard to pick up on what is happening in the class. This will mean that valuable learning time is lost and that ultimately your child may not achieve as well as s/he could. All children who arrive late must enter school through the main entrance so that they can be signed in.
Non Uniform Day
We will be holding a non-uniform day on Thursday 18th October in support of the “Wear it Pink,” breast cancer campaign. If possible the children are asked to wear something pink or red on this day. There will be a fine of £1 for all children who take part. Please note that children in Year 4 who are on an educational visit to Michelham Priory will not be able to take part.
