School Values and Aims
Everyone is valued as an individual and contributes to the happy, caring environment which we aim to create.
Together, we encourage the development of self-esteem, independence and respect for all living things and the environment.
Our school aims to provide a stimulating, learning atmosphere to enable each child to develop a lifelong love of learning.
We recognise our role within the local community and the importance of strong positive links between home and school.
We aim to encourage children’s understanding of the wider world in which they live by providing opportunities for them to learn about and from other cultures.
Recognising its historic foundation, the school will preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the Church at parish and diocesan level.
The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils.
We summarise our ethos as:-
Our vision is to care for people.
Our concern is for quality.
Our aim is to strive for individual excellence and recognition of individual achievement.
Our fundamental belief is that everyone has worth and we aim to foster this by concentrating on strengths rather than weaknesses so that each child will come to value him/her self and others, and will grow up to be a useful member of society. |
