You have three choices for your child at midday. They may:

* Go home at 12 o’ clock and return at 1pm.
* Bring a packed lunch - which does not contain chocolate or fizzy drinks.
* Have school dinners: £8.00 (as at September 2007) per week, payable on a Monday. Any money should be in an envelope with the child’s name and class on. Cheques should be made payable to ’Tameside MBC’.

One week’s notice must be given if you wish your child to stop having dinners. If you fail to notify us, you may have to pay for any dinner ordered.

Our school dinners are cooked on site each day, and the menu contains healthy choices.
We also have a 'Salad Bar' which the children can help themselves to each day.

We want the children to be active and healthy - the school council helped to design a playground which has two football pitches and a quiet seating area. There are also boxes of play equipment which each year group takes turns to use on a rota. We also have a large school field which the children can use when the weather is good.

The School, its Staff and Governors strongly encourage the use of its school uniform:

* White shirt
* White/royal blue polo shirt
* Grey trousers/skirt
* Blue tie
* Royal blue cardigan/jumper/sweatshirt
* Blue/white check summer dress
* Sensible and safe footwear for outdoors
* Slippers/pumps for indoors
* P.E Kit: Needed for P.E Lesson.

We do not allow children to wear jeans, jewellery, football kits or anything with words/ pictures that may cause offence. Nose rings and tummy piercing rings are not suitable for school and should not be worn. The school takes no responsibility for any property lost in the school. All property can become lost property and if it is named, it does stand a real chance of being reunited with its owner!

In hot weather, it is appreciated that children may come to school dressed more casually, however, it is important that a level of decency is maintained and the clothes chosen are suitable for a day at school.

School jumpers, fleeces, cardigans and polo shirts are available at school embroidered with the school name and logo. Please contact the school office.

If children do not come in uniform, they may be given a clean school jumper or sweatshirt to wear for the day.

All clothing should be clearly marked with the child’s name; again, the school takes no responsibility for lost clothing.
