Parent Teachers Association

The aims of the PTA are:

(a) To encourage co-operation between the staff of the college, the parents and all others associated with the college.

(b) To encourage interest in the fulfilment of the educational requirements contained in the relevant Education Acts.

(c) To engage in activities of all kinds affecting the welfare of the children and the development of the college.

(d) To raise funds to be used for the benefit of the college and its children.

Facilities

Carmel continually looks to improve the teaching and learning environment for all students and staff. With the completion of our impressive John Caden Hall, new Technology Block and new Learning Resource Centre in 2004 Carmel continued to invest and look to the future by securing a new building programme set to commence early in 2006.

As a Technology College Carmel is committed to providing the latest equipment and facilities. At present we have close to 300 networked pc's and laptops, projectors and white boards in nearly every classroom, state of the art sound production and recording faculties, industrial tools and machinery, an impressive production and conferencing hall complete with professional mixing and lighting desks.
