Introduction

Cleveland Infant School is located on the southern side of the London Borough Of Redbridge.Cleveland Infants School is within walking distance of Ilford town centre and train station. The school's main entrance is off of Dudley Road, our nursery's main entrance is on the corner of Rutland and Cleveland Road.

The Cleveland Schools were built over 100 years ago. The Infant School is on the ground floor and Junior School is two floors above. Although in a separate building, our Nursery is just across the school playground.

Our school buildings been extensively modernised and provides a stimulating learning environment for the children.

Our Classes

The children in our nursery attend either a morning or an afternoon session. To make an application for your child to gain a place in our nursery, please contact our Office staff based in the Infant building for details.Many of the children in our nursery go onto join the Infant School. We have a 3 classes in each of our year groups, with a maximum class size of 30.Our 9 classes are:Class 1, Class 2 & Class 3 are our oldest children they are in Year 2.Class 4, Class 5 & Class 6 are our Year 1 classes.Class 7, Class 8 & Class 9 are our Reception classes.

This agreement is signed by the parent or carer of the child, the class teacher and by the Head teacher. By working in partnership with our children's families, we help children get the most from their time at Cleveland Infants. Once signed a copy of this form is given to the child's parents or carer.

School will: a, Encourage children to do their best at all times. b, Encourage children to take care of their surroundings and others around them. c, Inform parents of their children's progress at regular meetings. d, Inform parents about what the teachers aim to teach the children each term. e, Inform parents/carers of school events.

Family will: a, Make sure child arrives on time ~ 8.55 a.m. and the school knows who is collecting the child. b, Make sure child attends regularly and provides either: i, a note of explanation if the child is absent, or ii, 'phone the school office with an explanation. c, Where possible, arrange family holidays outside term time. d, Attend Open Evenings to discuss child's progress.

Together we will: Tackle any special needs Encourage the children to keep the school's and class rules. Support children's learning to help them achieve their best.
