Admissions

The school controls admission to the Nursery.  Children are eligible for either a morning or afternoon place at the beginning of the term after their third birthday.

Children are admitted on the basis of age, not time on the waiting list.  This ensures that as many children as possible have an opportunity to attend the Nursery.

Interested parents should arrange an appointment to visit the Nursery.

Telephone 01937 520301 – School Office

The Local Education Authority (LEA) controls admission to the Reception Class.  Parents of four-year-old children may obtain a school preference form from the Authority or from the School Office, which they should complete, indicating their choice of school.  If Crossley Street Primary School is your first choice of school it is helpful if you return the form to us and we will forward it to the LEA, having made a note of the information.  From September 2006 parents will be able to book online:-  Admissions Website.

Normally parents will be allocated the school of their first choice.  If demand exceeds the number of places available, the LEA will apply the criteria of siblings already in the school and distance from home to school, to allocate places.

Admissions to other year groups is controlled by the Head Teacher and monitored by the LEA.

Parents considering applying for admission, for their child, to the school are encouraged to contact the Head Teacher to arrange a visit.   Telephone: 01937 520301 – School Office.
