School achieves best ever GCSE results
We are delighted that for the third consecutive year the staff and students at Dene CST accepted the challenge of improving results in the GCSE examinations. With our first analysis showing that 37% of students gaining five or more grades at A*-C the school is proud to acknowledge the partnership between students, parents and the staff.
We are also delighted with the massive leap in improvement in the number of students achieving five or more grades at A*-G (this year 84% compared to last year’s figure of 72%). The continuing trend of an increase in the average points score per student reflects that more and more students are achieving qualifications.
I would like to offer my warmest congratulations to the students for their hard work and achievements.
My thanks also to the members of staff at the school for their commitment in ensuring that everyone had the best opportunity to achieve.
We now have a clear mandate for the future and we will continue to build upon our successes even further. The results this year are a clear testimony to the quality of teaching and learning provided at our school and I look forward to leading the school into its next phase of its development.
