Hello, we would like to take you on a tour of our school, it is called Finchale. . Although the school is on the edge of one of the largest private housing estates in Europe we are surrounded by grass, including a large football field.
Finchale is a primary school with approximately 192 boys and girls aged between four and eleven.
We are taught by 8 teachers and a head teacher but are supported by lots of other adults including parents who come in to help at various times.
We have two separate parts to our school linked by a walkway. There are nine classrooms which we use for many different activities including a library and ICT suite. There are art and reading areas in or near every classroom. We have two halls, a parent’s room and a reception area so visitors are comfortable while they wait. We also have a fun club which takes place before and after school so our parents know that we are safe while they work.
We have a school uniform which is a red sweatshirt and black/grey trousers or skirts. Some children wear polo shirts which have our school logo printed on them.
Lots of different activities take place throughout the year including athletics, netball, football, rugby, music, drama, dance, art and computing. We also do all the ‘normal’ subjects during lesson time! |
