At Gilthwaites First School we try and maintain a welcoming atmosphere for parents and children alike.
In our recent OFSTED inspection our care for the pupil’s well being and personal development and helpfulness to parents were highlighted as strengths of the school.
We take a pride in the attractive displays around the building and the excellent behaviour of our pupils. Children are encouraged to have a voice in the school and they grow in confidence and maturity as they move towards Year 5.
Regular family assemblies and concerts are open to parents so they can share in our successes and help us to recognise individual and group achievements. We also have parents’ evenings and reports throughout the year to inform you of your child’s progress.
This website aims to inform you about the systems and routines in place in school and answer the most frequently asked questions.
I hope you find it informative and easy to navigate. However if you still have queries or would like to talk to myself in more detail please make an appointment and I will be happy to discuss things further.

The FA Charter Standard, awarded in June 2005, is in recognition of our commitment to sport in general, but football in particular. |
