Parent Council Fund New ICT Equipment at ICD
The Parent Council at Integrated College Dungannon recently took delivery of £4000 of ICT equipment and were proud to allocate this up-to-date technology to support learning and teaching across six departments in the College. The funds were organised and raised through the work of our successful Parent Council, who are extremely grateful for the generous contributions made by parents, families and friends of Integrated College Dungannon.
In total, six top of the range multi-media projectors were purchased and these were installed for use by students and staff in Road Traffic Studies, Music, Modern Languages, Citizenship, History and Technology departments. In addition to this, the Technology department also received an interactive whiteboard, with all the necessary hardware and software, enabling the College to further enhance its continuing commitment to the provision of ICT equipment and training for all.
Head of Technology, Sinead Fitzpatrick expressed her delight when she received the new equipment by saying “We are extremely thankful to the Parent Council for their work in raising the money needed to purchase and provide this equipment for our Department. Technology students and staff can now work together in an enhanced environment of high quality learning, delivered and supported by excellent facilities and equipment”. Her words were supported by Eileen Donnelly, Chairperson of Parent Council, who stated that “The Parent Council are proud to be associated with the purchase of this additional IT equipment in the school and we recognise that even more can be done to help staff provide the best possible education for our children within ICD. More fund raising initiatives are planned and any suggestions will be warmly welcomed. All parents are welcome to join the Parent Council which meets on the last Thursday of each month at 7pm. |
