The children at our school. It is our belief that the children should enjoy their primary education while, at the same time ,achieving their best.

The relationship between staff and children is one of mutual respect. The children are taught that all people are important; that tolerance and understanding help everybody to work and play happily within the school community. The standard of behaviour we achieve is high through the consistent approach to discipline and the rewarding of good behaviour in Golden Time .

The school plays a very active part in Sporting activities – Netball, Soccer, Cross-Country, Tag Rugby, Athletics, Gymnastics and Cricket. Also a member of staff is on the working party for the county in developing "Assessment in P.E."

We have an active Choir and pupils are encouraged to play musical instruments eg. Violin and Brass .This year Years 3 and 4 are involved in the "Wider Opportunities " Programme which focuses on beat, rhythm and vocals.

The most important part of the school is the quality of education. The teaching staff are constantly updating their skills, every Monday evening for 11/2 hours, to deliver the best possible start to your child’s education. Every Thursday evening there is an open evening whereby you as parents can make an appointment with the class teacher to discuss your child. These appointments range from 3-15 to 4-00p.m. We also have mid-year reports and open night in February and end of year reports in July and an open night.
