Welcome to Langleywood School
At Langleywood we are committed to developing a learning community for everyone attached to the school; pupils parents and teachers. We believe that everyone should experience the enjoyment of learning. Our first priority is to provide high quality teaching that results in effective learning. We have recently been designated a 'good' school by the Local Authority and this has been endorsed by the local community because we are oversubscribed.
The curriculum is arranged to meet the individual needs of each pupil and to equip them with the qualifications for success after leaving school. We offer a wide range of extra curricular activities and clubs to give pupils a broad experience and to nurture talent. We expect all members of the school community to treat each other with care, courtesy and consideration.
Staff and pupils work together to create a friendly and supportive atmosphere recognising and celebrating the multicultural make up of the school. Our sixteen acre site offers excellent facilities that are shared with the local community and an environment that supports learning.

Since September 2004 Langleywood has made enormous progress. In November 2005 the school exited Special Measures and has continued to make progress since then.
-
In October 2006 the BBC were looking for a school that had previously experienced problems and was now doing well. Ofsted pointed the BBC towards Langleywood. Everyone connected with the school was proud to receive this recognition.
-
Our examination results at all levels have improved year on year. The 2007 results are the best the School has ever achieved.
-
The School has been designated as a 'good' school.
-
The popularity of the school has grown and we are now oversubscribed.
-
Langleywood has 35 cultures represented in the pupil population. This is a real strength of the school and we regularly celebrate this with International Evening and mufti days.
-
We have a strong School Council and approximately one third of the school has positions of responsibility either as a prefect or as form captains, librarians, sports captains etc.
-
In June 2007 we were awarded 'Healthy Schools' status because we look after our pupils and staff so well.
