Statement of School Aims

We aim to:

1.    Provide quality early education and childcare for every nursery child and  quality education for every school pupil

·        in safe, comfortable, welcoming and happy nursery and school environments

·        focusing on improving development and learning through play, to improve children’s progress and learning and teaching, to raise attainment.

·        enabling them to become successful learners, confident individuals, responsible citizens and effective contributors.

2.    Use the Development Planning Process to raise standards in the seven key areas

·         Curriculum

·         Children’s Development and Progress  / Attainment

·         Development and Learning through Play / Learning and Teaching

·         Support for Children and Families /  Support for Pupils

·         Ethos

·         Resources

·         Management, Leadership and Quality Assurance

3.    Promote partnership

·        with parents, outside agencies, pre-5 centers, local primary and secondary schools and the wider community.

4.    Continually strive to improve our system of self-evaluation

·        involving parents, children, external agencies, the local community and the authority.

5.    Value and take account of local authority and national advice.
