Welcome to Llysfaen Primary School

History
There has been a school in Lisvane since 1913. Originally it catered for 60 children from the surrounding farms and countryside. The ‘old school’ still exists as a Community Centre in the village. The present school was opened in 1967. It is a single storey building, situated on a very attractive site, with extensive playing fields and views across the Bristol Channel. There are over 300 children on roll.
Our School motto is "Learning to value, valuing learning."
About us
- Our children are valued and given the respect they deserve, with a high expectation of all learners whatever their ability.
- They are encouraged to take responsibility for their own actions, be tolerant of others and to care for the environment in which they live.
- The children, staff, parents, governors and local community work together to create a happy, stimulating and safe setting in which the children can fulfill their potential in every aspect of their school life.
