About Our School
Macduff Primary is the only Primary school in Macduff. Children come mostly from Macduff itself, some from Banff and some people travel in the bus from the surrounding countryside.
There are 409 children in the school, 222 boys and 187 girls. There are 2 classes at each stage from nursery to primary 7.
Macduff is a seaside town in the North East of Scotland. It is in Aberdeenshire. Its most popular tourist attraction is the Marine Aquarium.
Macduff Primary was built in 1964 as a Secondary school. It was a Secondary school until 1969 and then was used as a Transition school where all P 7's from the surrounding area came to attend school before moving to Banff Academy.
From 1990 Macduff Primary became a community school incorporating playgroup, nursery, P1 - 7 and various community groups, such as toddler groups and the Leisure Club for Senior Citizens.

A School Meal menu offers:

- 2 hot main course choices.
- ‘The Sandwich Tray’ providing a selection of items making it an excellent alternative to a home Pack lunch.
- Baked Potato with a choice of filling is available daily as a main course meal.
Salad, fresh fruit and pudding daily.
- Soup is available at least once a week.
- A selection of bread and milk or fruit juice are included with a school lunch meal.
