Parson Street Primary School Nursery is part of our school. We have the equivalent of 50 full-time children in our nursery. We have two teachers and three nursery nurses to look after the children. The children work on the Foundation Stage Curriculum and are assessed against the Bristol Nursery Profile document.
This is an exciting period of development for the Foundation Stage at Parson Street and we are making huge improvements to the education that we offer to our children. Children attending our nursery are able to move very easily into the Reception class, overseen by our Foundation Stage Leader.

Year 1 is good.
There are 3 teachers, Miss Mallas, Ms Bennett and Ms Beale. We love doing swimming and P.E. We have been thinking about our toys and have a brilliant museum of old toys in class 4. We like having our fruit but sometimes the carrots are a bit soft!
We are really good at maths and enjoy hard sums. We are trying hard to use full stops when we do our writing and like it when we can do drawings to go with our writing. Best of all we love planning and golden time. It's fun!

We all go to Parson Street Primary School and we are in Year 2.
Our classes are good at maths but especially partitioning. We are super at handwriting because we can join our letters neatly. We like geography when we find out about our local area. Most of us are great at study focus and we particularly enjoyed finding out about Florence Nightingale.
In Year 2 we all love learning because we know it will help us in shops, in our jobs, at home and when we grow up.

Welcome to Year 3!
Our study focus topic this term is Ancient Greece. We have been learning about the Ancient greek Olympics this week and comparing them to the modern games. We even had a real Olympic athlete who came to talk to us about what it is like to go to the modern Olympic games. We tried on the special Team Great Britain kit and learned how hard you have to train. The best thing is, we can ask him questions every Thursday because the Olympian is Mr. Rose!
After the holiday, we will be learning all about Ancient Greek heros, monsters, Gods and Goddesses and writing our own puppet shows. We will be very busy indeed!

Year 4 is amazing.
We have had a very busy year so far.............................................................................
InYear 4, wehave studiedIndia and with our newcreative curriculum we linked lots of fun and exciting things to it. We even had an "India Day" and arrived there in a tardis! We made and sampled lots of Indian Food and even organised a debate to the Local government to help the people of Chembakolli remain on their land.
For our Ancient Eygpt topic, year 4 decided to linkour science - circuits and so we made a hand-held torch for an archaelogist - it was great fun! On the last day of term we all dressed up in Egyptian costume. Lots of children came in dressed as a Priest or embalmer!
The Summer term, Year 4's are going green! We are focusing on recycling and improving the local area. Watch this space for more information
In Year 4 one of the trips you go on is to the Forest of Dean, for three days. It is a lot of fun. We went on a night walk in the forest and did abseiling, zipwire, orienteering, and a river study - unfortunately Charlie fell in and got very wet!!!On our last evening we had a barbecue and went to the local park to play football. We stayed in the Deanfield Study Centre in rooms with bunk beds. It was a brilliant trip.

Welcome to the Year 6 page! We are really looking forward to a great new year group in Classes 13 and 14 and we hope that you are too. We will be doing lots of really exciting and interesting work, starting off with Roman Britain.
Year 6 is a really important year. Not only do our oldest pupils get lots of special responsibilities like organising the music and chairs for assembly, but it is the year when you show just how much you have learned during your time at primary school. The SATs (special tests in English, Maths and Science) will be taking place in May 2008 and they are your opportunity to really show what you know !
We are looking forward to getting to know you all in the first few weeks of term. Don't forget those homework projects that are to be handed by Friday 7th September! Enjoy your holidays and keep yourselves safe. See you all raring to go on Wednesday 5th September.
