Welcome to Ranelagh School
Dear Parent
At Ranelagh, we believe that effective communication between home and school is essential if the individual needs of every child are to be met. Parents are always welcome and should not hesitate to contact the school to discuss problems or to seek advice or reassurance.
There are regular consultation evenings when parents are able to meet subject teachers to discuss their child's progress as well as other occasions when parents and teachers are able to meet on a more informal basis. The Parent Teacher Association and the Friends of Ranelagh are active groups within the school. We aim to provide a supportive, stimulating and secure environment where the highest standards of learning and personal responsibility are expected and achieved and where every member of the school community is valued.
We are proud of our excellent reputation, our traditions, our current academic, sporting, creative and artistic achievements and the quality of guidance and pastoral care given to pupils at the school. We are delighted our achievements and standards of excellence have been recognised at national level by the prestigious awards of Specialist School Status, Investors in People, Artsmark (Silver),Healthy School's Gold Award, and Beacon School Status over a six year period.
The school also received an outstanding OFSTED report and was identified in the Annual Report of Her Majesty’s Chief Inspector as a ‘particularly successful school’.
The achievement of our aims is dependent upon good communication and regular contact between staff, pupils, parents and governors. We look forward to working with you in extending this partnership.
Yours sincerely
Mrs K.M.Winrow
Headteacher
