Roan St. Patrick's Primary School is a maintained school with an enrolment of 71 children. These pages give a sample of life in our school. All our staff, pupils and parents strive to make our school a happy place where learning is the central focus. Our school is an important part of the parish of Eglish. The school boasts a very innovative and environmentally friendly design. Geothermal energy supplies the heating, while solar panels placed on the roof of the original school produce electricity for the school, the first of its kind in N.Ireland. In addition to the original school, the new campus includes two new classrooms, an office; a resource room, a new staff room and a new playground.
The school prides itself on the quality of its pastoral care, its academic success, its strong sporting ethos, the quality of relations at all levels and its links with parents, the parish and the community. Children benefit from after schools club for pupils from P.3 to P.7. The club offers art and craft, ICT and a range of sporting activities. The adults are also well catered for as the school hosts an evening class for adults interested in developing their computer skills
