| Welcome to South Cave Church of England Primary School Website
We believe that we provide a happy, caring school community in which all children feel valued, happy and secure.
We have for many years been acknowledged for providing a quality teaching and learning experience. Our many visitors comment upon the caring ethos and wonderful atmosphere encompassing the school.
We have worked hard to provide a stimulating and well-resourced learning environment, which acknowledges that all children are special and unique and deserve the best opportunity to achieve their full potential. We endeavour to provide an exciting and rich curriculum which prepares our children for the ever-changing challenges of their future lives. The children are actively encouraged to become confident, independent learners, who look forward to coming to school each day.
The school proudly celebrates the close working partnership with parents, which is fundamental to our believe that together we can produce successful children, who maintain a desire and curiosity to learn.
We hope we are a school that makes you long for childhood, where the children as they move through life, will remember their times at South Cave School as one of the happiest times of their lives.

… is to create a warm, welcoming and stimulating environment for all children. We aim to ensure that children enjoy school and develop a love of learning, and through partnership with parents and the community we will help children reach their potential academically, socially and emotionally. |
|
Our School aims to ensure that children enjoy school and develop a love of learning. | |
- To be for all its members—children, teachers, non-teaching staff and parents, a true learning community, where the foundation of corporate life is the acceptance of a shared set of values which reflect the nature of learning itself.
- To encourage enjoyment of learning and wide participation in all aspects of school life.
- To ensure that the learning of the child is the central concern of the school and to recognise and respond to the differences between individuals, whilst at all times according each equal worth, value, respect, care and consideration.
- To recognise that all children have special educational needs and to meet those through a broad based and balanced curriculum which is accessible to all children regardless of abilities, gender or race.
- To have the highest expectation of attainment and conduct and to ensure that every pupil experiences success, challenge, reward and recognition.
- To provide an environment which is safe, secure, considerate and stimulating, where students and teachers feel confident enough to continue to take risks and learn together, and where good order and discipline result from educational rather than coercive strategies.
- To ensure that the school exhibits the dynamism to anticipate and respond to a rapidly changing world, thereby equipping students with the skills, self-confidence and adaptability to manage their own lives and be contributors to society.
- We will help all members of the school to reflect on performance and achievement, to evaluate that achievement with a view to improving upon it, and to ensure that this is an on-going activity embodied both in the learning process and the organisation of the school.
- To effect the partnership of the school and the community it serves by acknowledging the values, interests and expectations of that community, and by which drawing on the skills, understanding, involvement and support of that community.
