Welcome to the website for Sproatley Endowed C.E. (V.C.) Primary School which I hope you will find interesting and informative. Sproatley School is a Voluntary Controlled Church of England School in the York Diocese. The school is close to Hull but is in the East Riding of Yorkshire.
We provide a high quality of education, following the foundation Stage Curriculum and the National Curriculum. As well as achieving highly, our children enjoy music, arts and sporting activities, which help them to develop into well rounded individuals ready to take on the challenge of Secondary education and to succeed in their aims.
We cater for children aged 3 - 11 years of age and currently have 190 children including those who attend part time. This September saw the opening of our new Foundation Unit providing an important stepping stone between nursery and full time school for children aged 3 and 4. The children start in the unit the term after they are 3, attending either 5 morning or 5 afternoon sessions. Children begin their full time education in the September of the academic year in which they are 5.
The school has recently had new building work providing four purpose built classrooms and the older classrooms have been refurbished, with some structural changes to create an ideal teaching area for the Foundation Unit.
Please browse our site to find out more about our school.
