School Information
We are situated on a pleasant site on the eastern side of Coventry, approximately three miles from the City Centre and within the parish of St.John Fisher. The school serves a wide area and takes children mainly from the St. John Fisher and Sacred Heart Parishes. We enjoy a very close relationship with the parish, and the clergy are frequent visitors.
There are seven classes in the school, arranged in age groups. Teachers take responsibility for the delivery of all aspects of curriculum within their class although a certain amount of co-operative work takes place. Guitar and flute lessons are provided by peripatetic teachers for older groups of children and swimming lessons take place at the local baths. |
A high priority is given to R.E., Reading, English, Mathematics, ICT and Science. Additionally great importance is attached to the artistic, sporting and cultural curriculum and children are encouraged to pursue their talents as appropriate. We also take part in a large number of sporting and performance related extra curricula activities. All our staff attach great importance to providing a welcoming, friendly and supportive environment in which Christian values are central. We may not be able to remedy difficulties straight away, but we will always listen, consider, explain and discuss. We firmly believe that parents' involvement in the education of their child is essential, and are keen to support this at all levels. |
