| Welcome to SWIMBRIDGE PRIMARY SCHOOL, Devon, England - the top Primary School in the South-West (25th in England) in the 2003 primary league tables. 5th in Devon in 2005 and 2006. Recommended in the Good Schools Guide |
 |
Nestling in the rolling North Devon Countryside, Swimbridge C.E. Primary School has been a centre for local education since the 1790s when it was established in the 'Old Schoolroom' adjacent to the Parish Church.
It occupied its present interesting Victorian building in 1866. This has since been extended and modified to provide a welcoming educational environment for children in the new millennium. In 2003 the school was further extended with a new admin block.
The school caters for children from the age of just under 5 to 11+. The 80 or so pupils are arranged into three classes, each with its own teacher, along with part time staff who further extend the curriculum and provide additional support.
