THE BROW COMMUNITY PRIMARY SCHOOL
MISSION STATEMENT
The core purpose of The Brow Community Primary School is to provide all our children, regardless of race, religion, gender, age, ability or disability, with a safe, supportive, positive and effective learning environment which is based very firmly on the principles of trust, care, patience, sharing and respect.We aim to develop the academic, social, spiritual, moral and physical education of our children by the provision of a broad and balanced curriculum, in which emphasis is placed on achieving the highest standards of attainment and rates of progress, especially in English, Mathematics, I.C.T. and Science, and displaying exemplary standards of behaviour and courtesy.
In giving every child an equality of opportunity and respect, and in valuing every child as a unique individual, we aim to foster a positive approach to learning which promotes the qualities of motivation, initiative, independence, organisation and endeavour.
We believe the pupils, parents and the school must work in partnership if such aims are to be successfully and consistently achieved ~ and that such partnerships must be extended to the wider community to encompass and embrace all those individuals and organisations who are supportive of or interested in our school.

Our new school building was opened in 1996 by Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Gloucester.It is one of the the most modern primary schools in Halton.The attractive central courtyard provides an oasis of tranquility in an otherwise busy learning environment. |

Class teaching has always been a strength of The Brow. This has been enhanced greatly by cutting edge technology which has been put into each classroom.
Almost all of the eight classes now have an Interactive Whiteboard for teachers to lead their class with. These wonderful tools assist in whole class teaching as well as small group work. They also allow many different learning styles to be accomodated. |
Extra - Curricular Activities
The Brow is firmly committed to providing extra curricular activities because of our belief in the value and enjoyment they provide for children. After school activities are dependent upon the skills, interests and availability of the staff. They run in the first part of the Autumn term during and towards the Summer term. The clubs are open to junior children subject to parental agreement to meet their child(ren) at the end of the club or written indication that children have parental permission to walk home alone.
At present we offer the following range of after school hours club activities :-
Football, Netball, Art, Computers, Cooking,
Booster Classes, Choir, Library, Judo, Craft
Fencing, Skiing.
Numbers at all clubs and / or for health and safety reasons will be limited and places are allocated on a first come, first served basis. Please note that in the unfortunate instance of inappropriate behaviour being displayed by any child at any club, that child will no longer be allowed to attend that club and his/her place will be offered to another child.
The quality of the work in the clubs was acknowledged by Ofsted; by the award, in September, 1998, of Ł500.00 from the Education Extra National Awards, the only primary school in Halton to receive such an award; by
The Silver Artsmark award for all areas of the arts and by Activemark gold for all areas of physical education.
