Welcome to Tredegarville C IN W VA Primary School

In Tredegarville we aim:

Positive Behaviour Management Rules
1. We listen politely to everyone and do as we are asked the first time. 2. We keep hands, feet, objects and unkind words to ourselves. 3. We always tell the truth. 4. We move around our school quietly and safely. 5. We leave the classroom only with permission from the class teacher. 6. We do our best to learn and let others learn too.

| Children in Tredegarville wear school uniform. The following outline shows the colour and style of uniform. Items for the uniform can be bought from various stores in the City.
Garments embroidered with the school name and badge can be purchased from the school. An order form is available on request.
The school uniform consists of:
Girls
- navy blue skirt/trousers or pinafore dress
- navy blue sweater/cardigan
- white or pale blue blouse
- blue and white check dress
- white or navy socks
Boys
- dark grey or navy blue trousers/shorts
- navy blue sweater
- white or pale blue shirt
- blue and white check dress
- white or navy socks
Children should wear sensible black or navy shoes/sandals to school.
Jewellery We advise that no jewellery be worn to school. School cannot be responsible for items of jewellery that are mislaid during the school day, neither can we accept responsibility for injuries caused to children as a direct consequence of their wearing jewellery.
If you allow your child to wear jewellery then the fullowing rules MUST be followed:
- only ONE pair of stud earings may be worn, no loops of any kind are allowed
- one small ring
- one watch may be worn
- children should not wear chains, pendants or bracelets
Hair Children with long hair are asked to keep it tied back. Designer hair cuts, with shaved motifs are NOT allowed.

| | HOME-SCHOOL AGREEMENT AND ORGANISATION | |
| The School has a responsibility to:
- Care for the pupil's safety and happiness.
- Deal with any cases of bullying or harassment firmly and in a manner appropriate to the situation.
- Ensure that the pupil is given the opportunity to achieve his/her full potential educationally, developmentally and spirituality.
- Ensure high standards of work and behaviour and try to instil a sense of responsibility and belonging within the Christian community of the school, neighbourhood and parish.
- Provide a balanced curriculum to meet the individual needs of the pupil.
- Provide a written report, at least once a year, concerning the pupil's level of achievement and progress.
- Provide opportunities to discuss the progress of the pupil and if necessary, any problems that may arise.
Parents have a responsibility to:
- Make sure the child attends regularly, on time everyday, is properly equipped and correctly dressed in a named school uniform.
- If meeting pupils at the end of the day arrive by 3pm.
- Inform the school if the child is absent by 9.30 on the first day of absence.
- Support the school's system of rewards and sanctions, which reinformce the promotion of good behaviour and discipline.
- Let the school know of any changes of circumstances or problems that may affect the child's work or behaviour.
- Support the child with his/her homework and other aspects of home learning.
- Attend Parents' Evenings and discussion about their child's progress.
- Attend the Annual Governors' Meeting for Parents.
- Not park within the school grounds at any time without the school's agreement.
Children will:
- Attend school regularly and on time.
- Wear named school uniform and make an effort to have a clean and tidy appearance.
- Be polite and helpful to others and respectful of all adults and visitors to school.
- Complete all homework and class work on time and to the best of my ability.
- Tell an adult if anyone is being harassed or bullied.
- Keep the school free from litter and graffiti.
