We feel it is important that mutual understanding and trust should be the basis of our shared responsibility and therefore we operate an "open door" policy at Wellfield, where you are encouraged to come into school at any reasonable time and see at first hand the learning opportunities we provide for your child.

We also believe that our Philosophy and Aims encompass the true entitlement of every child who attends our school.

• Wellfield Infant and Nursery School is situated in a pleasant suburb of Sale.
• The Infant school was built in 1973 with the Nursery being added in 1994.

The School also has an eight place Resourced Provision, which caters for children with social and communication difficulties. Children are placed here from all areas of the borough after specific assessment procedures have been completed. However, we operate an integration policy and where appropriate all children in the Resourced Provision integrate with the children in mainstream school.

The Infant school is semi open plan with shared activity areas and a well developed playground area. The Nursery is purpose built with its own safe play area.

A caring and enthusiastic staff works hard to develop the potential of all our children within this safe, happy, stimulating and challenging environment. We provide a good academic education within a broad and balanced curriculum which is well resourced.
