Ysgol Cystennin The Story Behind the Name
The school takes its name from Cystennin which is the Welsh form of Constantine. Constantine the Great was the Roman Emperor who became the first Roman ruler to embrace Christianity and who moved the power base from Rome to Constantinople, formerly the Greek city of Byzantium.

Ysgol Cystennin is a small  junior school that values standards and achievement. We are extremely proud of all that goes on here. As our website demonstrates, the children at Ysgol Cystennin are supported in their learning by dedicated staff, governors and parents.
	Ysgol Cystennin is located  in the village of Mochdre  which is close to Colwyn  Bay in North Wales.  The  village is within easy reach of Colwyn Bay, Llandudno  and Conwy.
