BU has a reputation for offering degrees with a future. In a competitive graduate employment market, the University has consistently demonstrated that employers value the quality of our courses.

In the most recent survey of Bournemouth Graduates by the Higher Education Statistic Agency (HESA), it was found at 85% of our graduates had gone on to find employment, or were undertaking further study six months after completing their degree.

Recognition by students

Our commitment to providing excellent teaching and world class facilities was highlighted in the most recent National Student Survey of 2005. This survey gave final year students an opportunity to tell us what they really thought.

Using a scale of 1 to 5, Bournemouth received scores of 4.1 and 4.0. For personal development and support and the quality and effectiveness of our library resources.

Bournemouth was also given the highest ‘overall satisfaction’ marks in four subject areas, all of which surpassed the national median. The marks were Psychology 4.3, Communication and Information Studies 4.2, Finance and Accounting 4.2 and Technology.
