About Us

After being in post for two terms and sharing the vision for excellence enjoyment and ultimate achievement for all of your children the Governors decided it was time to produce a new Vision Statement for the school.  Governors, all staff, members of the PTFA and PASS Group all met together to discuss the vision for the future.  Finally, the following Statement was arrived at:

Vision Statement

To provide the best learning environment for the whole community.  Encouraging everybody to aim for excellence in their continuous learning journey through the 21st century.

We want all our children to be:

Successful Learners who:

  • Develop a love of learning that will last their whole lives
  • Show determination, perseverance and the courage to explore
  • Develop high level subject skills and use them across the curriculum

Confident individuals who:

  • Believe in themselves and their value in the wider community
  • Are thinking, challenging and questioning
  • Live a healthy life style
  • Are non-judgemental and willingly embrace the diversity of society

Responsible citizens who:

  • Show an active sense of community at local, national and global levels
  • Are developing a growing awareness of the environment
  • Whose understanding of rights and responsibilities is manifest in their actions
  • Enjoy everything life has to offer

Productive Members of Society who:

  • Explore and embrace new and newer technologies in an ever changing world
  • Can be an active and effective group member
  • Have the ability to reason and think creatively
  • Develop their skills at solving problems both individually and as part of a team

This is an exciting time for Alphington School as we aim to provide an excellent education for all of your children enabling them to do their very best as they prepare to meet the challenges of the 21st century.
