An 'average' seven year old will attain Level 2 whilst an 'average' eleven year old can be expected to reach Level 4. Though not part of the National Curriculum, RE is statutory and also, schools are required to hold a daily act of collective worship. The RE curriculum follows Devon's Agreed Syllabus. We also teach Personal, Social and Health Education, Citizenshipand Sex Education. Parents, should they so wish can withdraw children from RE, Collective Worship and Sex Education, with the exception of the part of Sex Education which is required as part of National Curriculum Science. Teachers employ a range of teaching styles, including whole class, group and individual according to the needs of the children and the subject matter. |
