When you hand your child over to the school at 8.55 the Headteacher and her staff assume parental responsibilities until the end of the school day. With so many children on the premises it is obvious that rules have to be made for the safety of all. We ask you to co-operate by making sure that your child understands his/her responsibilities to others, and ultimately, your child will enjoy the benefits of working and playing in a safe and happy environment.

School admission policies are the responsibility of the Local Education Authority. Each Torbay school serves a particular area, but parents may apply for a place in any school. The Annual Planned Admission Level in this school is 60 (from September 1999).

There is one point of entry in the school:

Children whose fifth birthday falls between September 1 and the 31 August in the following year are admitted at the beginning of the Autumn Term.

You can apply for a school place but defer your child’s entry until later in the academic year without jeopardising the offer of a place.

In the event of a child being refused admission to the school, the parent will have the right to appeal to the School Admissions Appeal Committee.
