WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL!!!
Lydford Primary School is a fine stone building, located close to the centre of Lydford village. The School is well equipped, including with six computers linked to the Internet for use by the pupils. In the Key-Stage-2 classroom, computer networking allows the children to access and work on their saved files from any of the computers in that room. The School also has colour printers and scanner, and a laminator and comb-binder.
The School welcomes community involvement and provides ‘Meals on Wheels’ for the Village’s service, and senior citizens are welcome to join the children once per week for school lunch. One of our weekly visitors attended the school as a child in the 1920s. The School is well supported by parents in the "Friends of Lydford School" organisation.
Lydford Primary School is a welcoming place where children can learn to grow into responsible adults. It provides a caring, understanding environment and, because it is small, the teachers and support staff can provide the attention that children need to develop their individual talents.
