For children as young as three months our Nursery provides a safe, happy environment whre they can explore, play and learn in the hands of enthusiastic and experienced staff.
As part of the Nursery our children proceed at the age of three to the Kindergarten where fun and games mix with an invaluable introduction to the Foundation Stage Curriculum ensuring a smooth transition from Nursery to School in the year following your child's fourth birthday.

| A child's early experience of school is vital for developing a postive and confident attitude to learning, to work and to other people. We promote the intellectual, moral and spiritual growth of each individual, to encourage a life-long love of learning and to enable all pupils to undertake their duties and responsibilties as future citizens in an informed manner.
We endeavour to create a calm, ordered but stimulating environment, where all pupils feel happy, confident and valued.

| Our educational philosophy is founded on one simple truth - that every child is different. We know that, above all else, children need time and we are able to provide this by focusing on the individual. Our classes are small and this is a vital policy which we will never compromise in our aim to ensure that every pupil is given as much attention as possible.
Academically, we aim high but we place no less emphasis on development of personality. The Christian values of good manners, thought for others and common-sense are heartily encouraged. We believe that education is not just about teaching but also about opportunity. Children learn more at St Michael's because their field of experience is so broad.
We aim to provide a stimulating environment where children are happy, confident and eager to learn from teachers who are eager to teach.
