Many clubs, team practices and other activities take place during the lunch hour and after school. There is wide opportunity and children are encouraged to participate – we regard these areas as an important part of our curriculum.
We also have visiting music teachers from the county’s Instrumental Music Service, and are continuing to develop this aspect of our curriculum. We aim to have music making in the classroom for all pupils, as well as the chance for more accomplished musicians to have lessons and to play in the School Band. We have established close links with the Purbeck Junior and Senior Bands.
We like to offer residential experiences to pupils. This part of our curriculum needs voluntary contributions for pupils to take part, but we try to keep the costs as low as possible. We hope that as many pupils as possible will be able to participate. We try and offer a variety of day visits as well, to broaden the experiences we offer in school.
