ABOUT US

We are a non-denominational community school for 4-11year olds based in Kinson, in the north of Bournemouth.

Our school is set in its own grounds with 3 playgrounds and a large field. Adjoining the field is Kinson Common which is a recognised Site of Special Scientific Interest.

We have a music and drama studio and Community Room adjoining the Playgroup building. We have strong links with the playgroup and many of our Foundation stage children attended Playgroup and joined in with school activities while there.

The Foundation unit at Kinson comprises of 2 classes Red and Blue. The Rainbow class has a few children of infant age for part of the week.Our foundation teachers are Mrs Colleen Taylor and Mrs Jane Coe, supported by Mrs Blanchard. Our Teaching Assistants are Miss Brown, Mrs Fieldand Mrs Buchanan.

Unit 1 at Kinson comprises of 2 classes of Year 1 Children Yellow and Green. Unit 1's teachers are Mrs Hammond, Miss Jowlett and Ms Walker. Our teaching assistants are Mrs Oliver and Miss Kerley.

Unit 2 at Kinson comprises of 3 classes Purple and Orange have Year 2 /3 children and Turquoise with Year 3 children. Unit 2's teachers are Mrs Nethersole, Miss Dykes and Mrs Randall. Teaching assistants in this unit are Mrs Moody, Mrs Spencer and Mrs kellard.

Unit 3 at Kinson Primary School comprises of 5 classes, Silver, Gold and Amber have Year 4/5 children and Diamond with Year's 5/6 and Emerald which has Year 6 children. Unit 3's teachers are Mrs Ford-Horne, Mrs Chivers, Miss Munday, Miss Blake and Mr Browne supported by Mrs Hanson. Teaching assistants are Mrs Kerley, Mrs Gillingham, Mrs Draper, Mrs Turner, Miss Phipps, Miss Vincent, Mrs Randall and Mrs Howells.
