ABOUT US
Elmvale, which celebrated its 21st birthday in January 2002, is a semi open plan school serving the town of Annan and the villages of Newbie, Back of the Hill and the surrounding rural area.
A school bus transports pupils to and from Newbie.
The school was inspected by HMIE during May 2000 and a follow-up visit during April 2002.
There are class teachers, classroom assistants and an SNA with visiting teachers for art, music, PE and Support for Learning.
All pupils receive specialist input for PE, Art and Music. This is in blocks of 5/6 weeks three times a year.
There are several after school clubs run and organised by teachers and parents.
The pupils are involved in several Christmas Festivities within the community. They also take part in the local Riding of the Marches. We have regular contact with the local minister and community policeman.
We have several sporting events involving all the Annan schools eg. football, rugby, quizzes and we go a trip to London every year with another local school.
