ABOUT US

At Rhu we are proud of our caring and stimulating learning environment, our committed and dedicated staff and our firm partnership with parents and the local community.

We are a non-denominational and co-educational school situated in the heart of Rhu village. As a viilage school we enjoy close links with the adjacent church and the surrounding village, in particular the local playgroup and the Senior Citizens Club. As a community school which has grown up and developed with the neighbouring area we welcome the valuable contribution many villagers make to the life of the school.

After four years hard work we are proud to be flying the green flag for Rhu Primary School. Staff, pupils, parents and carers are justifiably proud of their efforts in creating a garden and an eco-code which will benefit the school and the environment.

The school was honoured to be invited to receive the 500th Green Flag from the Eco Schools Award Scheme Scotland at a special ceremony in Edinburgh attended by the Minister for Schools and Skills, Maureen Watt MSP.
