Non-European Union international students may use the following application and enquiry forms:
Completed applications can be emailed to applications.io@coventry.ac.uk.
You will also need to submit scanned copies of the following:
- all academic transcripts
- one academic reference
- an english language test score (IELTS/TOEFL etc)
- your personal statement (if appropriate).
The International Office will then assess your application and reply with a decision within five working days.
Starting with applications for 2007 entry, UCAS will no longer offer paper application forms. All applicants must apply using UCAS Apply, an on-line application, which can be accessed through the UCAS website www.ucas.ac.uk/apply.
UCAS do charge for the processing of your application, the current fees can be found on their website www.ucas.ac.uk. You can pay by credit or debit card. If you do not have a credit or debit card you can complete the on-line form, print it out and then attach a cheque or bank draft and send this to UCAS. You can apply up to 6 different courses and up to 6 different universities.
If you would like to be given an indication of your eligibility for a course before applying through UCAS, you can apply on the Undergraduate Enquiry form. Currently the University does not charge for processing direct applications.
If you are applying for a course in the School of Art and Design, you may need to send us a portfolio of your most recent art and design work. A portfolio is a collection of your artwork and you are required to send about 15-20 examples of your work. You may send them as photographs, slides, colour photocopies or on a CD. It will state on the entry requirements whether a portfolio is required.
Postgraduate and Research courses
Coventry University has a long and successful tradition of providing postgraduate taught and research opportunities and has been widely recognised for the high quality of its provision.
The University has recognised that people undertake postgraduate work for a variety of reasons - for the intellectual challenge, because of a long-standing interest, to improve their job or career prospects, and so on. That is why we have built considerable flexibility into our provision and give important emphasis to links with employers.
Postgraduate taught
Postgraduate study can be undertaken for a variety of awards ranging from a Postgraduate Certificate or Postgraduate Diploma to a full Master's degree (MA, MBA, MSc, LLM).
To make an application, please complete and return a 'Taught Postgraduate Application Form'. The completed form should be sent by post, fax or as an e-mail attachment to the International Office. If possible, attach the following documents:
- Copies (not originals) of your graduation certificates and transcripts
- Evidence of your proficiency in English, preferably an international recognised qualification like IELTS/TOEFL
- Evidence of work experience, if applicable
You may be asked to produce further documentation as your application progresses.
Students also have the opportunity to study a wide range of postgraduate programmes commencing in January/February and throughout the year.
Some postgraduate students maybe able to find employment within the University through the Coventry University Bureau of Employment (CUBE). Whether you are interested in part-time lecturing, clerical/admin work or becoming a student proctor supporting your University peers, each of the opportunities provides an excellent complement to your studies.
Postgraduate research
For postgraduate degrees (Masters level and above) you can apply direct to the International Office for a place. Each application is considered on an individual basis and work experience is taken into account. Research students (Mphil/PhD) are required to submit a proposal on their chosen topic. This proposal should be no longer than 1,500 words. It should state the aim and objectives of your research and the proposed methodology of research. PhDs may start any time in the academic year. We also do split-site PhDs.
