At Wexham we place great emphasis on both academic achievement and personal and social development.
We provide well-balanced education for ALL pupils and aim for the highest possible standards.

We expect the pupils who come to Wexham School to:

  • work hard
  • have high standards of behaviour and appearance
  • contribute to the life of the school
  • enjoy their time at school
  • achieve the success of which they are capable

Many people have commented upon the special Wexham “atmosphere”. OFSTED Inspectors remarked in their main findings that “Wexham is a happy and orderly community” where “staff are dedicated to pupils' welfare and progress” and where “behaviour and relationships are very good!"

Other quotes from Wexham OFSTED report January 2005:

  • This is a very good school that offers a very effective viable alternative to the selective schools in the area.
  • Pupils feel valued at Wexham, enjoy excellent relationships with staff and as a result show an enthusiasm to learn and make the most of the opportunities presented.

Opened in September 1987, Wexham School is now firmly established as a school serving the community. Great emphasis is placed on academic achievement together with personal and social development providing a well balanced education for all pupils. There is a flourishing program of extra-curriculum activities. The school has the Sportsmark award, Artsmark award, and gained Specialist Sports College status in 2001. The Sports College status was re-affirmed in 2006.

In 2006, the school's status changed to become an 11 - 18 school, with its own Sixth Form. It also became a Creative Partnership Focus School.

There are curently approximately 870 pupils on roll studying on a pleasant 12 acre site.
