I have the privilege to be the Headteacher of Jordans School, which is an infant school catering for 4 – 7 year olds. The school is situated in the historic village of Jordans, Near Beaconsfield. We welcome children to our reception class in the September term in the academic year in which they are 5 years old. Those who are only 4 in the Autumn term start on a part time basis and all children in the reception class attend full-time school after Christmas. There are two other classes. Year 1 for children who will be 6 within the year and Year 2 for children who will be 7 within the year. The maximum number of children in each of the three classes is 25.
We provide a broad and balanced education for all of the children who are in our care. Our school is a very happy and caring place, which has high expectations of the children in work and behaviour. We care very much about the children we teach and recognise that all children are special.
We believe that the education process is all encompassing and cannot be split into 'home' and 'school' - the influences of one will reflect on the other. It is important that we work together, that a partnership is formed which fosters an atmosphere of mutual trust. The close relationship between the parents and staff is of benefit to all, especially the children.
This website is intended to give you some information about the school as a first step towards understanding its organisation. I hope that you find the contents useful and interesting.
