SCHOOL COUNCIL

School Council Achievements

Through the year we, the school council, have raised money for the school and charities such as BBC Children in Need, The Children's Society and for Red Nose Day.

To raise money for the above charities, we held a Mufti day.  We raised £125 to go towards the Children's Society.

Ann Smallwood, the co-ordinator for the traffic plan came into school to ask our help to collect data on how we all get to school.  For the last four or five weeks everyone on the school council has been collecting information on how people get to school.

A lady came in to talk to us about setting up an eco group in our school.  We must decide who will be in charge of switching off lights, computer and making sure we save energy.

The previous School Councillors interviewed the candidates for the Deputy Head post and also the candidates for the Class 4 teacher.

School Council Things still to do

The Buddy system has to be established.  Improvements in games and playthings have to be taken into account.  Huff and Puff PE sessions have to be put forward.  Library books have to be changed because they are not varied enough in age groups.  Playground and field improvements also need to be made.
