Patrington Primary School is a welcoming, friendly and caring inclusive village school, which is committed to working in partnership with Parents, Governors and the Church to enable pupils to develop a life-long passion for learning. To achieve the highest standards both socially and academically through providing a happy, safe, supportive and motivating environment where all pupils are valued; and in which pupils can develop the knowledge, skills, understanding and attitudes needed to lead a fulfilling life - today and in the future.
As a Church of England Voluntary Controlled school under the York Diocesan Board of Education Patrington CE VC Primary School has formally adopted the following ethos statement for Church of England Schools:-
Recognising its historic foundation, the School will preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the Church at parish and diocesan level.
The School aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils.
