PARENT AND TODDLER

Because of high demand, we have re-arranged our timetable in order to fit in more frequent 'Parent & Toddler' sessions. They are now scheduled for every 2nd and 4th Friday of the month. The club is an informal gathering run by the parents of the children. Anyone with pre-school aged children is welcome to join them. All parents are responsible for their own children.

The school provides a venue and usually sets out the equipment before the club meets. Many toys have been donated for you to use. On many occasions the parents and children are invited to join class 1 for their end of day story.

The parents take it in turns to clear away.

Teas and coffees are provided and paid for by donations.

Our school nurse often attends and is available for any questions.

Dates and Times

To find out when parent and toddler runs, check out the school calendar and look on Fridays.

PTFA

The PTFA run a variety of events throughout the year. Some are purely social, but the main purpose it to raise much needed funds for the school.

Parents: Every parent is a member of the PTFA. We hope that you will support the committee by helping staff stalls, attending all of the events that you can and

Teachers: Actually this should say 'staff'. Many staff give up their time to attend or assist at events.

Friends: We are anxious that anyone who is prepared to help us can! Grandparents, members of the village community, former pupils or parents, former governors.

but the association is run by a small committee who give up their own time to plan the events. Should you be willing to serve on the committee please make yourself known at the school office. We will pass on your details to the PTFA.

Funds Raised

Remember, every penny you spend supporting a PTFA event goes to benefit the children currently at the school.

Last year the PTFA raised over £3,000 which purchased a PA system and the Textease software for all pupils and their families to use at home. The remainder (plus some of the funds raised in 2006-7) will buy interactive whiteboards for the new classrooms and class 1.
