It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to the Shenfield St Mary’s CEVA Primary School website. St Mary’s is a friendly, open and caring school, which provides a secure, stimulating and enjoyable learning environment for our children; we have tried to reflect this in our website .

You will find the site is full of information about our school, including details of the curriculum, admissions, healthy eating, sports and much, much more.

We have endeavoured to make the site accessible to both parents and children and we hope it reflects the school and its ethos.

We hope you enjoy our site. We value your feedback so please feel free to contact us via the e-mail link with your comments.

With best wishes

J Anne Hutton

SPECIAL NEEDS

“Our aim is to provide access to a curriculum and range of learning experiences of the highest possible standard, bearing in mind the constraints of resourcing and recognising that there are unequal starting points.”

Every Learner

We aim to maximise the potential of every child by identifying their special needs as soon as possible and offering support.

Objectives

  1. To identify as soon as possible children who are having difficulty accessing the curriculum.

  2. To match the curriculum tasks to the child by differentiation.

  3. To offer support for specific difficulties as resources allow.

  4. To set attainable targets.

  5. To monitor, review and evaluate progress.
