have any questions after you have browsed, then go to the enquiries button at the bottom of the page, where you will find the information and address to contact the school directly.

We hope you enjoy your visit!!

The links on the left can be used to find out more about us.

'Information' should answer all your questions about the school, and contains links to the school facilities and profile.

Click on 'Staff' to meet the staff and see their responsibilities within the school.

'Curriculum' deals with the children's teaching and learning and keeps you informed of what your child is experiencing at school.

'Activities' is a section belonging to our very special friend Thomas the Bear. It has lots of fun things for children to do and read, help with their learning, as well as stories all about Thomas!

Within the 'Gallery' link we try to keep up to date examples of the children's work throughout the school.

The 'Calendar' gives you all those important dates, and is a good place to visit if you have lost your letter!!

Look in 'Links' for other useful websites.

SCHOOL MISSION STATEMENT

a) to give children a sound Christian Education which will help them to develop spiritually and to foster consideration, respect and understanding for the needs of others, in order to grow into courteous, caring adults;

b) to deepen, through worship, the children's relationship with God whilst developing also their sense of wonder and reverence for life and appreciation of their specialness to Him;

c) to create a caring and welcoming atmosphere for young children at the start of their school career;

d) to provide a well balanced curriculum which will lay the foundations for developing lively, enquiring minds whilst encouraging responsible attitudes to independent learning and meeting individual needs;

e) to welcome parental involvement, because good partnership between school and home is essential for children's continued learning.

FACILITIES

The School is extremely fortunate to have such a wonderful range of facilities.  Below are details and pictures of the school library, and links will take you to further information and pictures of other areas of the school, such as the playground.

There is also our purpose-built Early Years Unit which has been up and running since 1998. It is a large, stimulating learning environment with its own outside play area. It is a wonderful setting for young children to start their school career.

School Library

Perhaps our most ambitious project in the recent past has been the construction in May 2003 of a purpose built school library, complete with beautiful stained glass windows designed by one of our governors. Now the children go to the library every day to change their own books. The standard of reading is something of which we are all proud at St Thomas' and the beautiful new library gives us a central point where we can keep our wide ranging collection of books.

Mrs Hearn and Mrs Harries give daily support to groups of children in this lovely setting.

The Library also acts as an alternative location for small groups of children using our new laptop computers.

The stained glass windows were designed by one of the school governors, Mr Bernard Francis.
