School Motto

Ethos of Two Village Church of England Primary School

Our mission statement and objectives were discussed and agreed by staff and governors during our Vision Day on 1st November 2005.  We used the priorities on the government’s paper, Every Child Matters to focus our minds on what matters to us!

Our mission statement: Together we care, grow, learn and achieve…..

At Two Village Primary within a Christian environment we:

  • Teach, challenge and inspire excellence within our community promoting life-long learning skills.
  • We trust and respect ourselves, each other and our environment.
  • We care about and take responsibility for our learning.
  • We provide opportunities which enable and encourage everyone to make informed choices.

Safety

We promote confidence in a safe environment and teach children about the consequences of their actions. We foster partnerships between the school, home and the wider community and show respect for other people, cultures and the environment.

Health

We promote a healthy lifestyle by encouraging safe and environmentally friendly travel to school, healthy eating and extra curricular activities.  We promote emotional intelligence through, e.g. circle time, in order to develop self esteem and an empathy with others.

Enjoyment

Every child matters: playing an important part in making each day happy, purposeful and educational. We provide a wide range of educational opportunities that allow them to make sense of the world around them. We offer opportunities for enriching and extending the curriculum, broadening children’s horizons with extra curricular activities, educational trips and inter-school sports.

Economic

We adopt different strategies for children and help build their self esteem to give them confidence to continue to learn for life with the emphasis on essential skills and using modern technology. We build in activities that require collaborative work, role play which encourages social interaction, empathy and an ability to work in a team. To embrace all learners we provide a broad, challenging and exciting curriculum linking learning to life with the emphasis on basic skills. We monitor and evaluate the progress of all children, encouraging them to attain their full potential by providing opportunities for them to develop their talents.

Positive contribution

We teach children to value and reflect on their learning experience, encouraging them to continue to learn independently. Through the School Council, children contribute to decision making and school improvement.
