Welcome to Ashford Christ Church School!
We are proud of our Church of England Status and seek to uphold Christian values in our school community. Being a fully inclusive community school we serve the needs of all students including those with additional or special educational needs and from all walks of life.
Despite being a Church of England school we pride ourselves on serving the educational needs of all students in our local communities. Traditionally children with Christian background will receive first preference, but do not worry, these places usually make up 10% of each year group.
Christian values are reflected in our community structure of 5 mini schools within one big school. Each mini school is lead by a Head of Community and supported by an Assistant Head and Pastoral Support Manager.
Our newly acquired Maths and Computing status has afforded as with an exciting new curriculum design where by Year 7 pupils will receive a competences based curriculum including Project Based Learning, Performing Arts and Emotional Literacy to engage their young hearts and minds. Year 8 and 9 students will engage in a two year key stage where by they will achieve three qualifications in Information and Communication Technology, Religious Studies and an option of their choosing. This will equip them for a more vocationally based curriculum in years 10 and 11. Year 9 students will of course also complete National Curriculum SATs in English, Maths and Science.
We pride ourselves in innovation, curriculum development, student support and a constant focus on our Christian values and we open our doors to all students and staff who wish to share in our values and the excitement of being part of Ashford Christ Church – putting something special into community living and education. |
