Luton Junior School Ski Club is very successful after school activity which takes place September to April each year.
The club is open to all children in Year’s four to six.
Parents bring their children to the John Nike Ski Centre at Capstone Park 5:40 each Friday where they are met and supervised by Mrs Juniper. Parents are welcome to stay or if they prefer return to collect their child at 7:00 p.m. when the session ends.
There is a bar and coffee area available for adults to sit and watch their children.
Ski equipment is provided by the ski centre and instruction is given by qualified ski instructors. The children are taught according to their ability level and work towards badges.
Children need to wear suitable clothing e.g. long sleeved tops and long trousers, socks and gloves. The slope stipulate that if children are not suitably dressed they will not allow them on the slope.
The club has been running for a number of years and many children have experienced real success in this sport. Some continue to join the ski group even after they have left Luton. Parents also find this to be a social evening for them. If there are enough parents interested and adult group could be arranged.
For further information contact Mrs Carole Juniper at Luton School.
