Thank you for your interest in The Ripple School. We hope that the following information on our web site will answer many of your questions and help you to know more about the life and work of our school.

The Ripple School is a small village school which has been open for over one hundred years. We currently have approximately 35 children on roll and are at present permitted a Reception intake of 8 pupils. We are a true 'family' school with many of our pupils living in the village and others living in the surrounding areas. Our aim is to create an atmosphere in which children can develop their diverse talents, and grow in confidence and self-esteem. We encourage the children to care for each other and to be sensitive to the needs of each individual.

The school has an active Parents, Teachers and Friends Association which meets regularly to organise social and fund raising events. Parents and Carers are always welcome in school and we would encourage them to help both within the classroom and extra-curricular activities.

There are many occasions throughout the year that you are able to share with the children these include; seasonal celebrations, school plays, sports days, disco's and barbecues. We try to keep you informed about school life through our school newsletters.

Children are able to make the most of their education when there is close co-operation between the school, parents or carers, we hope you will feel that keeping in close touch with us will benefit both you and your child.

This school prospectus is intended to introduce you to many aspects of your child's education. You will be made most welcome by the staff when you come to visit us. Governors Curriculum Statement:

The National Curriculum provides education in five core subjects:

English, Mathematics, Science, Information Communication Technology and Religious Education.

Also in seven foundation subjects:

Design & Technology, History, Geography, Music, Art, Physical Education and Personal, Social & Health Education and Citizenship. In addition we teach French.
